		<abstract>In the last decade of the twenty-first century there is an effort in the sphere of society in general regarding environmental issues. In this scenario, the use of environmental indicators as tools to support the decision for natural resources, especially for water resources, is highlighted, given the interface that this theme has with the other components of the landscape. In this sense, this article aims to discuss the use of the Geographic System  Information - GIS and Remote Sensing products in the formulation of environmental indicators, and how they can contribute to the management and planning of water resources. This analysis will be carried out through two Environmental Indicators - AI: AI 1 (Conflict of Use in APPs) and AI 2 (Areas with High Vulnerability). As a research area, the Metropolitan Region of Goiânia - RMG was selected, due to characteristics such as rapid population growth associated to future scenarios of water scarcity. The relevance of pasture use in APPs and in areas with fragile soils was observed in both indicators, which may directly affect the environmental quality of these two environments, and consequently, further impact the water reserves that supply this region.</abstract>
